with Vibrant Festivities

Hyderabad, August 15, 2024: The air at APS Golconda was filled with pride, patriotism, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow as the school celebrated the 78th Independence Day of India. The event, themed 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India), highlighted the school's commitment to fostering unity, resilience, and hope among its students.


The celebrations began with the ceremonial flag hoisting by the esteemed Principal Ma’am , Mrs Anitha Karunakaran, symbolizing the nation’s sovereignty and the sacrifices made by countless heroes for our freedom. In her inspiring address, the Principal emphasized the importance of each student contributing to the vision of a developed India, reminding everyone that the future of the nation lies in the hands of the youth.


The event featured a variety of performances that showcased India's rich cultural heritage. The choir group set the tone with their melodious patriotic song, followed by compelling speeches in English and Hindi by students  of middle  and senior sections expression their hopes and aspirations of Viksit Bharat. The pre-primary students charmed the audience with a heartwarming skit, reminding everyone of the innocence and boundless potential that represent the future of the nation.


The highlight of the event was the Inter-House Folk Dance Competition, where each house—Gandhi, Nehru, Patel, and Tilak—presented a traditional dance. Gandhi House enthralled with the elegant Garba, Nehru House captivated with the serene beauty of Uttarakhand’s folk dance, Patel House energized the crowd with the exuberant Bhangra, and Tilak House concluded the performances with a dynamic display of Telangana’s vibrant folk culture. 


The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets, a gesture of joy and unity. The event was a resounding success, leaving everyone inspired to contribute to the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’
